奥ほど、あとから分かれた（年代の目盛りではありません）Farther back = split off later (not a time scale)
名前か、その右のうっすらした枝を押すと、その先の枝が開きます。名前をもう一度押すと閉じます。
ドラッグで動かし、右のつまみ・ホイール・ピンチで大きさを変えます。下（PC は右）の詳細は、つまみを押すと広げる・縮める、ドラッグで好きな大きさにできます。「全体」で、いま開いている枝がぜんぶ入ります。
「ライオン」「シイタケ」「Homo sapiens」のように、和名でも学名でもさがせます。
名前の右で動くシルエットの動き方は演出です。
「3D」で、手前（根もと）から奥（枝分かれの先）をながめます。マウスは右ドラッグ（か Shift＋左ドラッグ）で回し、左ドラッグか中ボタンのドラッグで動かします。指は1本で動かし、2本指を左右に動かすと回し、上下に動かすと（ピンチでも）近づきます。「2D」で真上からの図に（3D で真上まで回しても、2D の並びにつながります）。奥行きは枝分かれの段で、年代の目盛りではありません。
詳細の「リンク」で、いま見ているところを人に送れます。
Tap a name, or the faint branch to its right, to open the branches beyond it. Tap the name again to close them.
Drag to move. Change the size with the slider on the right, the mouse wheel, or a pinch. The details panel (below, or on the right on a PC) grows or shrinks when you tap its handle, and you can drag it to any size. “All” fits every open branch on the screen.
Search by common name or by scientific name, like “lion”, “shiitake” or “Homo sapiens”.
The silhouettes moving next to the names are just for fun (not real behavior).
“3D” lets you look from the front (the root) to the back (the tips of the branches). With a mouse, right-drag (or Shift + left-drag) to turn, and left-drag or middle-drag to move. With fingers, drag one finger to move; move two fingers sideways to turn, or up and down (or pinch) to come closer. “2D” shows the view from straight above (turning the 3D view until it looks straight down also leads into the 2D layout). Depth shows the steps of branching. It is not a time scale.
“Link” in the details lets you send the place you are looking at to someone.
